The difference
Hire from the engineer who owns and maintains the machines.
You will deal face to face with the owner rather than a receptionist. He is the one who maintains all the hire machines.
Every machine that leaves the workshop on hire goes through a thorough checklist, with the grinder teeth and the chipper blades sharpened, before it is handed over.
That is not a claim a pure hire company can make. It is just what happens when the owner is also the workshop mechanical engineer.

- Timberwolf 230 DHB chipper: sub-750 kg, road-legal behind a van or pickup.
- Three FSI stump grinders: a self-propelled B23, and B21 and B20 pedestrian machines.
- Day, weekend or week: hire boards and handover included.

Sharpening & parts
A proper edge,
ground in-house.
Chipper blades are sharpened on our own Chippermaster with a hollow-ground or straight edge at the angle the manufacturer specifies. Blunt blades chew fuel, stress the machine and leave stringy chip. Sharp ones pay for themselves.

Turnaround: Sharpening is normally a 48 hour turnaround, depending on how much is in. Drop off and collect at the workshop, Dewar Court, or ring and we'll sort collection.
Parts on the shelf: blades, belts, bearings, filters and teeth. If we haven't got it, we'll get it quick.
We service and sharpen the major arb brands: Först, Timberwolf, GreenMech, FSI, Jensen, Bandit, Rayco and more. Brand names here mean we work on them, not that we sell them.
Tree and grounds work
Need the work doing,
not just the machine.
Plenty of people ring wanting a tree down, a site cleared or a pitch marked out, not a machine to do it with. Ring anyway. Describe the job and we will put you in touch with someone from our network who does that work for a living.
To be plain about it: the work is theirs, not ours. We make the introduction and help get it organised, and the job itself is between you and the contractor who turns up.
What you get from us is a recommendation from the person who maintains their machines. We see which outfits look after their kit and which ones turn up when they said they would.
